Venture off into Cape Breton's vast recreational trail network with your 4x4 off road vehicle from our convenient and central location. Discover hidden places on the back country trails that aren't in the brochures, but have been in use for hundreds of years by early settlers. Load up the toy hauler or overland 4 wheel drive vehicle and head to Iron Mountain Wilderness Cabins. Did we mention two multi-use recreational trails cross on our 200 acre mountain property? Park your road vehicle and recreational vehicle trailer in our parking lot and hit the trails directly from your cabin site! You'll have a blast riding the mountain trails.

On the Snowmobile Association of Nova Scotia Cape Clear 104 trail you can head to Lake Ainslie, Inverness, Margaree up to Cheticamp, Baddeck, Hunter's Mountain & Cape Clear, through to Wreck Cove. In the other direction head over Campbells Mountain to Mabou, River Denys, Port Hood, Judique, Creignish, Troy to Port Hastings and Port Hawkesbury. You can travel by ATV/4x4/Sled from all of these places to our location! Navigating and getting there by trail is the adventure. We can have all the hospitality services ready for your group when you make it - Contact us in advance to talk about your needs for a wonderful night on the mountain.
